Fog zones, fog hours and temperatures are approximations based on satellite data and observations on the ground — not forecasts, readings at any one property, or guarantees. Summer fog figures are daily totals averaged across the four summer months, compiled from about 26,000 hourly GOES satellite images provided by USGS and applied to observations on the ground. Zones: 8 hrs or less Sun · 8.5 Transition · 9 – 11 Fog · over 11 Persistent Fog.
